The Somnium Shard

The Somnium Shard is a shard of glass from a powerful witch's Book of Shadows that, when looked upon, shows the person in their ideal location with their ideal form. It is only a small shard broken roughly from a full plate of glass, and its edges are very jagged, usually rupturing whatever it touches. It mainly proves useful as a distraction, but only temporarily. If the Somnium Shard was ever fully restored to its former place, then the power of the full plate of glass would cause men to stare to the point of starvation, trying to live in a fake reality.
